Financial Oversight

Financial oversight has been a central part of my work throughout my career. My background in business, accounting, nonprofit leadership, and executive management has given me experience reviewing budgets, understanding financial reports, setting priorities, and making careful decisions with limited resources.

For city government, financial responsibility means more than balancing a budget. It means protecting essential services, planning for infrastructure needs, understanding the long-term impact of today’s decisions, and making sure taxpayer dollars are used wisely.

I know how to look at financial information, identify the right questions, and consider the trade-offs behind major decisions. That experience matters on a City Commission, where choices about roads, public safety, utilities, development, staffing, and services all affect residents and the city’s future.

As a City Commissioner, I will bring a careful, practical approach to Walker’s finances — focused on responsible budgeting, long-term stability, and respect for the public resources entrusted to city government.
